About Original Writing
We’re an Irish self publishing company based in Smithfield, Dublin. Founded in 2006, we have already helped over 100 Irish authors successfully publish their books across a wide variety of genres. We understand the importance of working closely with you as an author on every aspect of your work. Authors are free to visit us to discuss their self-publishing projects in detail and remain in control at every stage of the publishing process.

The majority of the books we’ve published have been poetry collections, memoirs or short story collections. As more people realise how simple it is to get their work into print we’re increasingly branching out into areas such as academic and business titles.

Helping you spread the word about your work
Our publishing packages come with enough free copies of your work to start spreading the word to a local audience, friends or family. We also promote your book via our website to a global audience and set you up with a simple and hassle free way of selling your book online.
If you want to give your work an extra push, we can easily arrange further launch materials, marketing plans and more fully featured online promotion options for your book.
Helping authors develop
We exist to help authors get their work into print but we are also committed to helping authors who might just be starting out develop and improve their work. To this end, we set up a sister site Writing4all.ie as a place where writers can meet, develop and discuss their work in a friendly environment.
Membership of Writing4all is free and as a member you can publish your work online, ask for comments on it, intereact with other writers and also enter special competitions such as our Writing Spirit competition for new fiction. The site is also packed full of writing resources, info on writing events and tips on writing from well-known Irish authors.
