This is the beautiful debut book by Jerry Mulvihill. A delightful collection of 12 original stories.

Filled with tales of adventure, animals and magic, this charming book will capture the imagination of all young children.

‘The Fox and the Lily Pads’. The fox who was tormenting the animals in the area, until one day they unite together to teach him a valuable lesson.

‘Timmy the Turtle’. The little turtle that moved to a new area but found it difficult to fit in.

‘Wizard on Berry Hill’. The boys who were afraid of the old man on Berryhill because they are sure he has magical powers.

All stories are set in Ireland and some in Kerry. Each story is on average 1000 words in length. Stories range from exciting tales of animals and magic to tales with moral lessons.

This book is ideal for children aged 7+, but also a perfect bedtime storybook to be read to younger kids. The book has been called a classical story book with comparisons to Enid Blython.

Growing up Jerry loved reading books and felt that a lot of new books on the market today don’t inspire and capture wonderment like the older books did. Jerry wrote this book with his two young nieces in mind, Emily and Maria Mulvihill.

The cover and illustrations have been done by Gerardine Cooper Sheridan who is an amazing artist and each story is brought to life with detailed coloured illustrations. The book has been proof-read by established writer Natasha MacBhaird.

Jerry will be at Listowel writers week in June where the minister for Arts Jimmy Denihan has said he will take a copy of the book and help me promote it.
