“Mary Mc Cleary sets her first novel in the south Ulster landscape during the “Troubles”. In this story are interwoven the lives, loves, religious and political intricacies of a people and their families. The story crosses many barriers and lists the lives and loves of the main characters with all the frailties, suspicions, disappointments and joys that make it” – Theo Mc Mahon
