About the author
In her youth, Liz was a weekend and holiday cyclist. She spent some time in France where her first roadside view of the Tour remains a vivid memory. The riders’ speed created a rush of turbulent air that seemed to sweep her off her feet. From that moment, she was hooked.
She keeps up to date on cycling news through websites in three languages, and subscribes to English and Spanish cycling magazines, both of which have published her contributions.
Liz studied to be an architect, changed tack and worked as a computer programmer, but eventually became a student again, this time obtaining her teaching diploma, majoring in Art. Sixteen years ago she left her native Scotland to live in Spain where she lectures on Art History, participates in a variety of study-groups, reads voraciously, writes … and remains a cycling fanatic, watching races either from the roadside or on TV.
