For more than a thousand years the Irish People have fought for the right to determine our Nations path and destiny in freedom as an independent State. Our Nation State is now recognised internationally, and we are a respected member of the United Nations. But our continued existence as an independent Nation State is now in danger.
This work is not a comprehensive review of our political and economic history, instead it is intended as an brief overview, of our history since 1916, our political system as it is today, our troubled economy, the cause’s and possible effect’s, with suggestions as to possible solutions, to restore our economy and our democratic system of government.
The Author suggests that the solution to Ireland’s economic crisis is to be found in the management of the Irish economy, by competent Irish people, guided by the Oireachtas, in the interests of the Irish people.
This is not Anti Europe instead it is an attempt to get us back on track, in support of the European Free Trade Agreement, which is what the Irish people supported when we joined the European Economic Community, and to take back the European Project, from the faceless bureaucrats who would take away the hard won democratic rights of European Nations.
Cooperation and Harmonisation is a very proper and desirable objective between the Irish and other European Nations, but the takeover of our Nation by bureaucratic fascist’s is not….. Dictators Beware.
